Import self signed in Linux for Chrome / Chromium headless testing

Chrome / Chromium browser offers headless mode, which is quite useful to run tests via Selenium WebDriver in CI servers. However under some circumstance your test will hit a server with self signed certificate or invalid certificate or expired certificate. This may happen for developers trying to write tests against a server started on localhost with self signed certificates or testers trying to write tests against non-production servers with expired certificates (invalid certificates). Chrome / Chromium browser ignores the SSL errors when running in non-headless mode. However in CI servers, then it should be running in headless mode and currently we cannot ignore the SSL errors for tests accessing non-localhost websites. Recently I had used Blazemeter Taurus for load testing my application and I was quiet impressed with the features offered by Taurus. It is not a new tool by itself, instead it makes use of existing load testing tools like Apache JMeter or Gatling. However it offers enough abstraction to users from the underlying load testing tool using YAML configuration files. Advantages of using Taurus over JMeter 1) JMeter uses single jmx xml file to simulate the load test, which makes it hard for more than one person to work on the single jmx file and resolving conflicts might turn tricky 2) Easy to review changes made to the Taurus YAML file on commit by commit basis to understand the changes made to the load testing. While working on enterprise level, we often have java projects running on older versions of java for legacy reasons. Hence it is not very uncommon for a developer to have multiple versions of JDK installed in their machines and easy way to switch different versions of JDK on demand for running the build. This blog explains the steps needed to setup and configure multiple JDK versions on Mac OS. About this blog A brief reason for writing this blog. I am a server side http api / web developer predominantly using JVM based languages. I use some of the gradle commands everyday in my project and many times I had to randomly search in the internet (as I don't remember these commands by heart). This article is for my personal reference, so that I don't have to search it in random places.
